"Body computer"? If you mean the installed control units, then yes - you don't need any additional hardware, just the activation of the option "Remote Start" in the already installed control unit. Resoldering a key would be an option - but there is the problem of finding a suitable micro-button in the electronics store, not to mention the filigree soldering thread - cheaper it is a key for Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chrysler C300 or Dodge Journey with 4, respectively 4 buttons (Panic Button) to buy from the States - costs in about 40-50€ incl. shipping. The need then only to be learned! V
Hello, I'm from Argentina and my German is nonexistant. I arrived here by google, and found your answer. I have the microswitches but tried soldering them to no avail (just the remote start button). Do you know if its really possible? in the mean time I've ordered a spare key and will try to code it using AlfaOBD. Thanks!
